Raffle At Cinco de Mayo

Tuesday, May 4th, 2010

It’s the time of year for Cinco de Mayo, and a lot of people are planning parties for it.  I think a lot people like to celebrate Cinco de Mayo because it’s the first big party the can have since New Year’s.  Do you know what would be a great addition to any Cinco de Mayo party? A raffle!

My reasoning for thinking throwing a raffle at a Cinco de Mayo party is good idea is threefold.  Especially if your work is throwing a party, it’s a great way to raise funds for your business.  You could raffle off spanish themed prizes, like a gift card to the local spanish restaurant in your town or a cruise to Mexico! Also, it’s a great way to get people in your town more experienced in spanish culture.  While a Cinco de Mayo party may not draw them in, a raffling off of goods just may.

Let’s face it, throwing a raffle at your Cinco de Mayo party would be a heck of a lot more fun than busting open a pinata.  People love parties, and they love raffles.  Why wouldn’t they make a great combination?!  I hope you enjoy your holiday,  and that perhaps you take some of my advice and have a raffle at your party!
