Airsoft Raffle

Monday, August 24th, 2009 is giving over $10,000 of merchandise away in their summer promotion.  This is on top of any promotion or free shipping you would receive on their website.  This video is short, but a great way to promote their business and their raffle.  Why?  It’s hilarious!  Obviously, this video didn’t cost hardly anything to make, but because it is creative and funny, it is sure to drive business their way.

A few of my favorite lines:

“The itch?”

“Do you ever get the urge to destroy something by shooting it?” “I think so.”

“Do you walk around with your knees bent and your arms like this?”  “All the time!  What the hell is wrong with me doctor?”

Ha! ha!  Hilarious.  Check it out for yourself, and see how you can use free tools like YouTube to promote your raffle.

ATP in Cincy

Saturday, August 22nd, 2009

Yesterday, a friend and mine went to the Western & Southern Financial Group Masters and Women’s Open at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, OH.  It was really the first tennis matches I have ever been to, and it was awesome.  The first thing that struck my friend and I were the souvenirs being sold.  We walked in and noticed there were chic purses and fine jewelry being sold.  Whoa!  Where are we?  We’re used to going to Reds games and the best thing being sold is a $1 hot dog.  We were in a different world.

We watched the first doubles match for a set and then decided to walk around the arena.  We found out very quickly that there is all kinds of great SWAG to get at a tennis match.  SWWWAAAGGG!!!!  (Stuff we all get).  So after picking up banana smoothie samples, pens, note pads, chip clips, sun tan lotion, hand sanitizer, candy and lip balm, we were feeling pretty good about ourselves.  On top of all the Swag, there were also several raffles to enter.  We signed up for two raffles that were for laptops, one being the new laptop minis.  The other raffle was for brand new windows for your home, which I would have loved!  There was a raffle for the chance to flip the coin at the finals on Sunday, but I wasn’t interested.  Here’s hoping I get a call and win a new laptop!  I signed up at the Dell raffle several times with different email addresses.  I recently won a pop up book on a blog, so I’m feeling lucky.

The rest of the day was exciting because I got to watch Roger Federer dominate.  He is an absolute machine.  It was a treat to watch him dispose of his opponent, Hewitt.

Raffle for a Bike

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009

Here’s another cool raffle.  Whenever proceeds for a raffle go to support the troops, you know it’s a good cause.  Here is the description on this particular video:

Win this military bobber. $10 gets you one chance to win the custom, award-winning military biker build-off bobber.

And the actual video…

If you are hosting a raffle like this one, YouTube is such a good way to share the information.  It doesn’t hurt to have a girl on a motorcycle either.  But seriously, there are so many free tools out there for you to get the word out.  Take advantage of the internet and all of the free Social Media out there to spread the word.  Use Facebook, Twitter and YouTube to promote your cause.  If you are a non-profit it’s a great way to send out your message.

Porsche Raffle Winner

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009

Now, this is how you hold a raffle.  Give away a porsche!  The winner of this PCA member only raffle was also celebrating a birthday.  Now, that’s a very special day!  Can you imagine a typical birthday and then getting a knock on your door saying you’ve won a porsche?

To be honest, that’s maybe the most lame reaction I’ve ever seen from a raffle winner.  It’s like the guy said, “Yawn, oh, a porsche?  Yeah, just put it over there.”  Lame sauce.

Either way, that is a crazy cool giveway.  I bet the guys who made this video were hoping for a bit more when it came to the response.  By the way, PCA stands for the Porsche Club of America.

If you have sweet enough connections to give away a porsche, then I’m sure your raffle will be a tremendous success.  And if you are in the need for raffle tickets, remember to stop on buy for your custom printing needs.
